Poems by Belinda Subraman and photographs by Cheryl Townsend Published from Didi Menendez desk Wet MomentsWet Moments by Belinda Subramam The front cover of this book makes it seem like its going to be all about sex but its actually not I like how the author wrote the poems that connected through nature and lust at the same time At times some of the poems got me wondering like what does this mean I thought this poem book was good but could have been longer I would give kudos for strong meaningful mood and effort throughout the authors style of writing poems In my language art class we are were writing poems too and still on the verge of listening to poetry So as I was writing my own poems for language art it made me thought of when I read this book and gave me good ideas of how to work with writing a great piece of poetry or poetry lines and quotes Sometimes where there are words in the poems that i don t get i look up the word in the dictionary and when i know the meaning of the word the poem makes sense Poetry is written in so many ways that sometimes it s not even poetry any it transform into a story that has poetry meaning in it I am not saying that it s a bad thing I think its very unique to express your own feelings but a the same time use metaphors alliterative est to make your writing piece interesting For example when I wrote something about my room my teacher told me to elaborate about whats in my room write something that s in your room that seems weird or like a really weird thing to have in your room and it can be true or not So as i was thinking about what my teacher said I had really great ideas flowing in my mind If anyone likes poetry then read Wet Moments 18 I read this ebook today while I was eating breakfast The cover and title may lead you to think this an erotic book Actually it is a tasteful collection of poetry There are expressions about love life and relationships but nothing I would call explict Here is a sample verse from the title poem. West monuments memphis tn I like Belinda s style her poetry is relaxing to read The photography is black white mostly scenes of nature and peaceful places There are a few abstract shots of hands that reach out to touch your body with the poet s mind kinda Leonard Cohen sounding 18 You can read it right now on GR well I m sorry but this one just wasn t for me I didn t like the poems they simply didn t speak to me The photos were okay but I ve seen better and for some reason I was left simply annoyed Maybe poetry is just not for me 18 The title would suggest something other than what this is a collection of poetry This was a short read with poems about life how we live and how we affect those around us Of course this is my opinion only Poetry is like art Everyone sees reads it differently My favorite poem in this collection was No Absolutes especially the line about we are all misunderstood even by ourselves Too true.
