I don t know how this qualifies as a kids book it was borderline scary and had a naughty word in it Illustrations were blah colors I did get a huge kick out of this book it was pretty funny Stupid but I laughed a lot What can I say I m amused easily Who Needs Her This rather bizarre storybook has aged poorly A sloppy disorganized girl treats her clothing so badly that all of her clothes run away and she is forced to wear a garbage bag to school At first she is made fun of but later her classmates catch on to the hip new fashion Think Lucy and Ethel wearing feedbags on their heads The message is muddled be yourself listen to what the crowd says about you be nicer to your clothing and the sight of bodiless clothing running around on the sidewalks is jarring The word queer in this context meaning strange is also used as an insult by a student Who Needs Her
